Breakfast:  Bagel Thin with Neufchatel Cheese & Berry Smoothie


Daily Tidbit:  I love cream cheese, but because of its high level of saturated fats and calories I consider it a “treat”.  I was recently was introduced to Neufchatel cheese which has less calories, less saturated fat, and less cholesterol and more Calcium than cream cheese.  Neufchatel has a bit more sodium with slightly more sugar (1 more gram per 2 tbsp servings), but it still has that yummy sour creamy taste and texture of good old cream cheese, so I would say they are basically interchangeable depending on your health priorities.    The sites below breakdown the exact Nutrition differences of the two soft spreadable cheeses on the right side bar:






Breakfast: Smoothie & Bagel “Thin”
Berry Smoothie: 1 cup of Fat Free Plain Yogurt, ½ Banana, ½ cup of fresh Strawberries & ½ cup of Organic Frozen Wild Blueberries
Bagel “Thin” with Neufchatel Cheese  (These "Thins" are 110 calories and 25 carbs, 4 grams of fiber & 4 grams of protein!)
Cup of Coffee, black


Pesto Pasta Bake with Veggies Leftovers, Beets & Brussels Sprouts for Lunch!

Snack:  20 Raw Baby Carrots, Glass of Water

Dinner: Scallion Nachos & Bean Dip
Organic Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips with Part Skim Mozzarella, Cheddar & sliced Scallions
Pinto Bean, Avocado & medium jarred Salsa Dip
White Wine
